Welcome to CS3216 Superheroes!
This is a continuation of the Bingo game we played in class, and I hope that everyone from the cohort will openly declare their superpowers for the benefit of the rest of the class. Humility is a given trait for superheroes, so please don't restrain yourself here.
Hopefully, this will allow us to better choose group mates for our upcoming assignments (:
Some things to note:
1. FULL credit for the concept of this goes to Professor Ben and his teaching staff. I'm just trying to make something useful.
2. I renamed some of the titles to keep them within 162px. Should there be any superpowers you'd like me to add, do let me know in the comments.
3. Use your full name if possible (But if you're Yinchao and you use Otaku, it's okay).
4. I developed this on a whim, so please don't SQL-inject or XSS this site ):
5. There are probably many ways I could improve the interface, but it won't be worth my time.
6. Last but not least, special thanks to my alpha-testers (those I bothered on Facebook and GChat last night).
Awesome people are, well, awesome.
And just last night, I got the opportunity to see a lot of awesomeness.
To give an idea of what was on parade, there were the engineers with their gadgets, the programmers with their software, a producer with his video, a magician with his trick, the musical talents with their instruments, the singers with their voices, the dancers with their shoes (well, one without) and a relatively healthy mix of juggling, animal jokes, ginger and inequalities.
It was real fun to watch all that, but there were qualities beneath those performances that were far more obvious to see.
I saw brilliance. Lots of it.
I saw creativity. A neverending river of talent.
But more than that, I saw courage, humility, inspiration, desire and passion.
I saw awesomeness.
We are a cohort of awesome people.
We are superheroes.
